GREEN SENCHA kombucha tea combines with matcha tea for our “double shot” iced tea.

Green Sencha is an excellent for mocktails and cocktails because of its zingy bite and subtle elderflower and apple notes. Combine this with matcha’s grassy, herbaceous flavour, then balance with tart lemons and a touch of sweetness for a deliciously green iced tea twist.

This really is a superfood mocktail with gut-friendly microbes, yeasts, beneficial acids, and antioxidants from the green tea kombucha (source: healthline.com evidence-based benefits of kombucha).

Matcha is a close relative of green tea (also coming from the camellia sinsenis plant) but has even more catechin antioxidants and studies of matcha have shown it can benefit our health in many ways from protecting the liver to promoting heart health, weight loss and even lowering the risk of several chronic diseases (source: healthline.com proven benefits of matcha).

While lemon provides plenty of vitamin C and beneficial plant compounds which can help our digestion, weight control and much more (source: healthline.com evidence-based benefits of lemons)

Ingredients (makes one large or two small servings, multiply to make a jug)

  • 250ml GO Kombucha Green Sencha

  • One-two teaspoons matcha tea powder

  • One lemon

  • One-two teaspoons agave syrup or honey

  • Sprig of mint (more if you like it extra minty)

  • Plenty of ice cubes

Method

  • Squeeze juice of half the lemon into jug

  • Add match, agave syrup and half of the kombucha

  • Stir well until matcha and honey are dissolved then add the rest of the kombucha

  • Pour into glasses with ice cubes, add as much sliced lemon and mint as you prefer

  • Garnish with lemon slice and mint sprig
